Artist Relations Manager, Catalog Sales and Valuations

Denver, CO
Full Time
Entry Level

The Artist Relations Manager is here to materially change the lives of artists every day.

Right away, you will speak with active artists, writers and producers. You are expected to work with them through the full sales cycle and learn about the music industry.

You will work with artists to structure deals that advance their careers and life. Day-to-day you will be responsible for qualifying inbound and outbound leads. A good candidate is someone who is emotionally aware and able to manage a wide range of personality types. You will need to be comfortable on the phone with artists at critical points in their careers.

You will get exposure to multiple parts of the deal process while having a measurable impact on the business right away.

The ideal candidate will have the ability and drive to become a highly-paid full-time deal closer within the year. You will ramp up quickly to working the full sales cycle with repeat customers, referrals, and investors looking to resell. Here, you’ll learn the rhythm of the deal and have space to grow your skills. This group of customers will show you how a catalog sale accelerates their careers and the problems we help them solve.

You’ll need to dig in and learn from day one. The ability to navigate the complexity of royalty payors, IP rights, statement requirements, etc. is essential for success in this role. By working closely with our Director of Sales and Valuations, you’ll get first-hand experience with catalog sales and learn from experienced mentors who’ve closed hundreds of deals.

This is an entry level position on our Sales and Valuations team with huge potential for growth.

Artist Relations Managers are required to show competence in core responsibilities within 6 months of joining. If you don’t bring 100% you will fail. If you excel, you will be promoted to VP of Sales and Valuations, where you’ll begin to work with new business and higher value sellers. There is no cap on the size of deals you can work as a VP and no cap on the commission you can earn. Most ARMs have the opportunity to close six-figure deals within 90 days.
