Royalty Exchange is looking for our very first financial expert. While we know numbers, love numbers and believe in the power of data, we need someone to be borderline obsessed to be successful in this role.

This individual will be an essential member of our growing team and directly support our VP of Business Development in establishing and maintaining a pipeline of multi-million dollar deals with the world's most well known musicians. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Account Forecasting/Planning: Identify trends using raw royalties data and the overall music industry landscape to help build forecasting models.
  • Account Reviews: Point person in meetings with Executive Team and Account Managers when reviewing financials, forecasting, weekly performance and analysis reports to discuss performance, trends, highlights and revenue risks. Candidate must be able to answer questions regarding on-going account activities, monthly, rolling and fiscal performance.
  • Account Strategy: Establish strong relationships with internal teams to gain an understanding of our strategies and objectives and report, analyze and draw insights from KPIs for purposes of identifying growth opportunities
  • Special Projects: Support account managers and senior management on analytic-driven deep-dive projects relating to business changes and priorities
  • Data / Systems: Understand data sources and systems to ensure data integrity and report accuracy
  • Music Industry: Identify and create models of industry trends

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience post college, preferably in an analytical role within the financial services, retail and/or music industry
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to connect disparate data sources into a straightforward, insightful story
  • Analytical mindset - ability to identify trends in large datasets, display creativity in problem-solving, and generate new ideas
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively report findings and influence change within the organization
  • Highly organized team player who is detail oriented
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLookups, etc.)
  • Ability to thrive in fast paced environment, manage multiple tasks at once and work to deadlines

Compensation: $55k-$65K based on experience
